VPN SETTING FOR WINDOW 7 & VISTA

VPN FOR Windows 7 AND VISTA

    ***TO ENLARGE THE SCREENSHORT***

    1. Go to “Start” or “Windows Key” and choose “Control Panel
    - In the “Control Panel” choose “Network and Sharing Center” (alphabetical under “N”)

    2) Click on “Setup a new connection or Network” (on top in the main window)

    Choose a connection option:
    4) Click on “Connect to a workplace” and hit “Next”

How do you want to connect:
    5) Choose “Use my Internet connection (VPN)” and click “Next”

    6) “Type the Internet Address to connect to“:
    - Replace the example content in the “Internet Address” field and enter the I.P. address sent to you with your Welcome Letter.
    - Enter the “Destination name” field with any name you choose for the VPN you are creating now
    - Tick “don’t connect now, just set it up so I can connect later” and click “Next”

    9. Enter your username and password from the VPN information email sent to you at sign-up.
(our authentication system is case-sensitive, and even a single miscapitalized letter will prevent you from logging in.)
    10. If you’d like to save the password, tick “Remember this Password”, leave “Domain” empty and click “Connect”

    11. If you get “You are connected” you are done! – Remember you need to login each time you reboot or boot your your machine up.
In case you don’t connect, let’s go over the settings to check if they are correct.

    12. Go to “Network and Sharing Center” (see above) and choose “Change adapter settings” in the left Sidebar

    13. Right click on the connection icon you created for your VPN and choose “Properties” on the bottom.

    14. Under VPN Connection Properties for the connection you created, there are 5 tabs. Here are the required
settings for you to double check:
    1) General: Host Name field has the IP address sent to you in the welcome letter
    2) Options: Skip this tab

    3) Security: Type of VPN = automatic and under the ticked radio button “Allow these protocols” tick these two:
    CHAP and Microsoft CHAP

    4) Networking: Uncheck “Internet Protocol Version 6″ and “File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks”

    5) Sharing: Under “Home Networking Connection” choose “Select a private network connection”
    15. Click “OK” and that concludes your setup.
    CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING
***Our VPN connection needs to be connected upon each boot and re-boot of your system.***
An easy place to do so is in the System Tray (lower right corner near date/clock):
Click once on your internet connection icon and in the popup you can detect on top the listing of your VPN connection – double click it and enter your login and password, then choose “connect”
[these instructions vary a bit depending on your Operating System, ask us for guidance
    if you need it]
